Reverse osmosis takes away contaminants from impure water with the help of a semipermeable barrier. Water will flow from a more concentrated area to a less concentrated area to supply clean water through osmosis.
A semipermeable barrier is composed of tiny pores that barricade contaminants yet still allowing water to pass through. In reverse osmosis, contaminants cannot enter the less concentrated part of the semipermeable membrane.
